During the summer months once the children have broken up from school, they’re in and out of the house, racing around but generally they don’t make an enormous amount of work as far as houses, furniture and carpets are concerned.   True, they do tend to hare about, from garden to sitting room and bedroom, but on the whole they don’t really make anywhere near as much mess as they can, and do, in winter.
